Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Trinidad

An example of an outstanding hotel that anyone would enjoy in any city or town. The rooms are spacious and very updated. The King room that I had was truly nice in every aspect: great bed, large walk-in closet, separate nook for the refrigerator, and a clean, simple bathroom with a large infrared lamp in the ceiling for a warm dry time after your shower. The sink and vanity were just outside the bathroom which would make it accessible if the toilet was in use....a great plus for couples. I didn't use the strong looking air conditioner because the outside temps were low. A hotel I will always use in Trinidad, CO.

Roger, our waiter and bartender in the restaurant was the most kind and helpful person we could’ve asked for. We got stuck traveling from Denver to Austin in 4ft of snow with all roads closed and he made it the most homemade area he could’ve. The whole staff was warm and welcoming. The day we left and the day the storm let up we were able to use the shovels to dig ourselves out, in the midst Roger comes out to our aid and helps us. I can’t stress this place enough for stranded or traveling persons. We had two dogs and two persons total. I’m used to 5 star hotels and resorts and my man Roger and the staff did their part of making everyone’s stay acceptable and accommodating. Cheers to their team!

We stay here every summer or other summer. The freedom of smoking in my room is a leisure. People who work here are super awesome. Food is on point. I know because am also a chef. Plus you need to try the Sunset margaritas they are outta this world. Can't wait til next time.

I was traveling by car with a 40lb dog. The hotel was very dog friendly. Location is easy to find and near I-25 freeway. Hotel is not fully modern but room was perfect for a one night stay. Free WiFi. Bed and pillows were comfortable. I left too early for the free breakfast but it looked great. Desk staff were super helpful.

I spoke to Melissa at the front desk on my drive here trying to get as far as I could to Colorado from my mom’s house in Arizona so it was a last-minute reservation and she was extremely kind and professional. The outside is rundown so I was turned off at first but the room was updated so that is nice and I was thrilled that there is a golf course about a 2 min drive up the hill. I walked and it’s about a 10 min walk. The view from the hotel is lovely and Melisa was very accommodating in finding me a room with a great view. It’s not close to downtown it’s more of a stopover and head out in the morning but that is what I’m doing and it’s great for that. Breakfast was surprisingly good. The price is very good as well. I’d stay again but didn’t love the stink of my room they renovated but the carpets weren’t done. I would love that to be next priority.

I ditto comments of previous reviewer. This place was almost like a second home to us. We staid here at least 3 times a year, on all our trips to Colorado. We are heartbroken if it’s closed. Sure hope some new investors take interest. Of all the low budget hotels in Trinidad, I can’t believe THIS is the one that closed down. Crazy. It’s not the Taj Majal, but it’s great for budget travelers. It was the perfect location logistically, perfect location for beautiful sunsets, the restaurant and bar was great, decent breakfasts, clean and spacious rooms, outdoor smoking areas, a pool, dispensary next door. If this place can’t survive, how do the others??

Great place to stay, close to I-25 Food was excellent and service was great. They had music and the man playing was very talented with several different instruments. I would stay here again!

I had a very pleasant stay here on our vacation. Free breakfast between 6 and 9am. The dining is very good. I walked in with a t-shirt(like breakfast) and felt embarrassed I didn't show up with better attire.
